a tiny fyi

Hey, I'm sorry for the random posts these days.  I'm on this regimen of three antibiotics for what they call "pulmonary disease due to nontuberculous mycobacteria".   See, it's not that hard to pronounce.  These antibiotics are some wicked ones, and some days my body and those little buggers don't see eye-to-eye.

The worst problems comes with the way then can manipulate my digestive system into being a real pain in the a*s (pun intended).  They make me tired.  Disinterested at times.  And the fun part about it is that I'll likely be able to take these for somewhere between 9 an 18 months.  YEAH!  So I keep doing what I can when I can, however this issue, plus my other heart, lung, spine, and leg issues allow me to have several doctor appointments each month.  And now I will also need regular eye exams to
make sure the antibiotics will not be affecting my eyesight, as well as the typical blood draws to monitor for any damage to the liver, kidneys, heart, and whatever else.

I also have one day a week I volunteer at the hospital doing a sort of "whatever needs to be done thing," though they have now given me two specific projects that I am in charge of (nope no title goes with those",
however, that day can really tire me out if I have to walk a lot--and this hospital is not small by any means.

And as with many hospitals, there always seems to be new additions under construction.  Whenever they get completed and open, you may need a golf cart to get around the place.  But, when these being constructed now are finished, I'm sure more will be starting.

So, I just wanted to keep you in the loop.

  1. Sounds like you have a lot of health issues. One positive thing about the antibiotics is that maybe that means they have found the cause of something that has been a problem for you for a while.
I think it is strong of you to do volunteer work if it is half as bad as it sounds.

Just wanted you to know I appreciate your captions and read them regularly, even if I am crap at commenting.
