The six situations to practice the patience of voluntarily enduring suffering

1) When we hear unpleasant words such as words of criticism or words spoken unkindly

2) When we are meditating or listening to Dharma instructions

3) When we are engaged in virtuous actions such as prostrations

4) When we lack material resources

5) When we experience mental or physical suffering

6) When our wishes are not fulfilled
